CLINICAL TRIALS

Clinical trials and medical research are an important focus of Virginia Cancer Institute. Significant advances have been made in the past few years, however, many cancers and diseases of the blood are not yet curable. It is for this reason that clinical research trials are so very important. The patients of Virginia Cancer Institute who participate in clinical trials are among the first to receive new medications and revolutionary technological advances that offer hope.

The physicians of Virginia Cancer Institute have conscientiously chosen to participate in a broad range of clinical research trials that evaluate new treatment options to determine if they are safe, effective and better than current standard care. To conduct these trials, we rely on patients who volunteer to participate, and who benefit from having the opportunity to be among the first to receive the latest advances in the fields of Anemia, Breast Cancer, Colon Cancer, Leukemia, Lymphoma, Lung Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, Prostate Cancer and new therapies for the treatment of nausea & diarrhea caused by chemotherapy.
